Recently, nanofluids have attracted many attentions for their capabilities in heat transfer enhancement. Molecular dynamic (MD) simulations can be used to assess their performance by calculating the thermos-physical properties. In the present study, the shear viscosity of water-based silver nanofluids have been investigated by performing equilibrium molecular dynamics using the Green-Kubo formula. The results depict that the more volume fraction is, the higher viscosity of nanofluid achieved. It is also found that higher viscosity of nanofluid achieved while the temperature decreases; however, the trend of the increment in ratio of nanofluid viscosity to water depends on both volume fraction and working temperature.
