حكاكي برسطح سفال يكي از تكنيك‌هاي اوليه و رايج بود كه توسط سفالگران مسلمان در دوران ميانه گسترش يافت. اين تكنيك به اشكال مختلفي بسط داده شد. سفالگران ساماني در قرون سوم و چهارم هجري سبك جديدي در سفال را آغاز كردند كه همان پوشش گلا¬به سفيد بر سطح سفال قرمز و حكاكي بر انگوب براي ايجاد نقش بود. نخستين تكنيك به اين شيوه در متون قديمي « اسگرافيتو» و « نقش كنده» ناميده شد. از مهمترين نمونه‌هاي سفالي دوره‌ي ساماني ظروف با نقش كنده است، اين تكنيك در روزگار سلجوقي به تكامل رسيد و در ظروف آقكند، شاهكارهاي زيبايي در سفالينه ايراني خلق كرد. مقاله حاضر در پي پاسخگويي به سوال مقاله، با توضيح دو گروه عمده سفال با تكنيك لعاب پاشيده و سفال با تكنيك نقش كنده، مسير شكل گيري سفال نوع آقكند را به عنوان يكي از مهترين نمونه هاي گروه سفالينه نقش كنده مشخص كرده است.

Engraved on pottery was one of the early technique that was extended by Muslim potters in the middle Islamic period. This technique was developed in different forms. Samanids potters in the third and fourth centuries AH created a new style of pottery that was a covered with mud on the red surface of clay and then carved with slogans to create the motifs. In the old texts, The first technique in this way called Sgraffito . Main samples of The Samanids pottery are dishes with Sgraffito technique. This technique was developed in the Seljuqs that created masterpieces of Iranian pottery with Aqkand pottery. This paper want to survey the formation of Aqkand Pottery that known as one of the most important examples of groups pottery carved with roles or Sgraffito and explaine two main groups of glaze technique included the pottery carved with roles and pottery with a glaze sprayed. Research question: How Sgraffito pottery has been developed, How was the peak of this technique? what is the position of Aqkand pottery with Sgraffito technique,in this way?
