This study investigated Iranian preservice EFL teachers’ personal sense of responsibility. Additionally, the study sought to explore how a CALL course affected the preservice EFL teachers’ views of what they are responsible for in their future teaching career. The study used a focus group of thirty-three participants from Sahaid Rajaee Teacher Training University. To meet the aims of the study, both quantitative and qualitative data were collected. The participants filled out Teachers’ personal sense of Responsibility Scale (TRS) and participated in an online discussion forum where they discussed CALL related issues. The results of the questionnaire revealed that the participants had moderately high levels of personal sense of responsibility. In addition, qualitative analysis of data obtained from the online discussion forum revealed that the CALL course affected the participants’ views of what they are responsible for especially in terms of improving teaching, motivating students and building teacher-students relationship.
