Separation methods play an important role in various food industries, pharmaceutical and removing pollutants before the measurement process in analytical chemistry [1]. The aim of this research is to develop a curriculum for the “Physical and Chemical Separation Techniques” course in master s degree in analytical chemistry. To this end, the course syllabuses were studied at many universities [2] and accordingly a questionnaire was prepared which covered 11 chapters and 90 subjects[3-4]. The rate of respondents’ agreement with the titles (chapters and subjects) were measured on a 4-point scale (very agree 100, agree 75, disagree 50, very disagree 25). The survey was distributed to 313 faculty members, master s degree and PhD students. The chapter Titles and the respondents’ agreement with that chapter are as follow: High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (87.9%) Hyphenated Techniques (87.4%) Gas Chromatography (85.3%) Advanced Techniques of Extraction (85%) Thin layer, Planer and Column Chromatography (83.5%) Electrophoresis (79.4%) Other Methods (Field Flow Fractionation, Isotope Separation, Liquid Membrane) (78%) Classical Methods of Separation (77.8%) Filtration Methods (77.8%) Distillation (76.8%) Size Exclusion Chromatography and Gel Permeation Chromatography (76.7%)
