There is odor and taste problem in drinking water around the world. Smell and taste of water, the early signs are safety and acceptability of drinking water. Water treatment processes, breaks microalgae cells and thus, the amount of intracellular metabolites are released [1]. Semi-volatile compounds cause an unpleasant odor and taste in water. The threshold concentration of geosmin and 2-methyl isoborneol to humans in the trace range has been reported [2]. Therefore, the powerful preconcentration methods is needed that trace concentrations is detected. In this project Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction Based on Solidification of Floating Organic Drop (DLLME-SFOD) combined with gas chromatography-flame ionization detector for microalgae toxins will be presented. This project provides the opportunity to determine the presence or absence and even the exact amount of these compounds in water samples. DLLME-SFOD effective conditions such as the type and volume of extraction solvent, ionic strength, temperature and time evaluated and optimum conditions will be selected. Limit of detection was 0.04-0.48 microgram per liter, relative standard deviation was1.98-3.26% and recovery was from 93-96%
