Plant iris (Iris Ensata) purple pigment anthocyanin. From these pigments can be used as an indicator of PH as well as to identify and isolate ions from aqueous solutions used metal deposits. Due to the growing environmental crisis could be a good natural alternative is to identify PH and cations. It identifies the color change pigments responsible for the color change of the solution occurs and is Delphinidin-3-gluocoside. Iris extract in ethanol acid (HCl less than 1%) is extracted and used as a reagent solution [3]. in this study, a solution of acetate and ammonium buffer solution using acetic acid and sodium acetate, ammonium hydroxide and ammonium choloride was made. The solution of 0.1 M of salt of tin (II) chloride, lead (II) nitrate, iron (II) sulfate and copper (II) sulphate was prepared to identify and isolate. PH indicator solution in buffer 1 to 14 wide and have different color change. Find red to yellow to green higher PH and as well as UV-Vis absorption spectrum in the range 200 to 800nm absorption gives a good show. This plant extract solution (3-5 PH) and trivalent cations such as iron(II), Aluminum, lead, copper and etc. through the formation of weak complexes bathochromic changes that would cause the production of the blue [3]. Water solution of metal cations in the UV-Vis devices for lead (II) nitrate and copper (II) sulfate in the range of 200 to 800nm is showing good uptake. As for metals such as mercury, cadmium, cobalt, silver, nickel and etc. Change the color and change was not observed in the absorption spectrum. So the pigment anthocyanin in the iris purple according to the results is a combination halochromism and can be as indicators of PH in acid-base titration as well as identify and separate the two and trivalent cations of heavy metals from aqueous solutions, with the economy and no negative environmental effects to be used [1-3].
