Mobile Health in Health Care

Background: Rising health care costs and an increasing population are placing a strain on current health care services. Patients, particularly those with chronic conditions, require continuous long-term monitoring to detect changes in their condition as early as possible. Therefore, in this study, the role of mobile Health to improve health care has been studied. Materials and Methods: The study reviewed the literature and to investigate the role of M-Health in the Elderly Care was performed. In order to accomplish this, search engines and databases, Yahoo, Google, Emerald, Science Direct, Iran Medex, SID, Magiran, Pubmed was searched with the mHealth keyword. Results: Mobile phone communication has been suggested as a method to improve delivery of health services. M-Health technology has a key role in health care systems, but there are problems such as organizational culture, technological Barriers, human challenges for example, lack of trained and skilled personnel at health care centers in this field.
