Background: Electromagnetic wave are examples of abiotic stresses. Nowadays, the worlds in lesser-known species of messages and signals that encompasses the environment. So living creatures are in exposure of electromagnetic wave. Living cells are charged that are created by ions and free radicals. Electromagnetic wave with interaction between the ions particularly ferro magnetic materials such as iron affect on living cells. These environmental factors can significantly affect living cells in a short time and low intensity. Objectives: In this research, the effects of electromagnetic waves with high frequency of 940 MHz on biochemical, physiological factors of seedling corn have been examined. Materials/Patients and Methods: Corn seeding were put for 10 days in medium perlite and Hoagland of ½ strength. After enough growth, group of plants were treated with high-frequency electromagnetic wave. Results: 2Biochemical and physiological analyzes on the samples after these steps were under control and treatment. Proline in the leaves and roots in the treatment in comparison to control was significantly increased. And amount of malondialdehyde in leaves, the amount of hydrogen peroxide in the shoot and amount of catalase activity in leaves and roots, superoxide dismutase in leaves have been observed in treatment compared with the control were significantly increased. The content of photosynthetic pigments total chlorophyll in treatment was significantly increased. But and level of the anthocyanin pigments in treatment was reduced significantly. In order to investigate the effect of antioxidant, DPPH method has been used and the DPPH assay results are specified IC50 marked in different treatments. The potential for radical scavenging extracts were determined, by this change the effectiveness of the control extract the most powerful treatment effect ofthe extract to inhibit the effects of free radicals has been weakest. Phenolic compounds such as gallic acid, ferolic acid, Vanillic acid, Caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid was measured by HPLC and The results showed significant differences between phenolic compounds. Corn seed fatty acid composition was determined by GC. Among the fatty acids of significant changes was observed in treatment. Conclusion: Electromagnetic waves could cause significant effects on biological systems.
