This study sought to examine the Iranian EFL Teachers motivation toward the use of OER. For this purpose, a study was carried out from a sample of 115 teachers selected based on convenience sampling method. A questionnaire was used to gather the data which has five component and include attitude, motivation and possible barrier. The results showed that the teachers relatively high and strong motivation to use OER. Further analysis of the results showed that that the teacher are strongly willing to use this innovation in language teaching. In other words, teachers are willing to experience a change in their profession. But there seems to be no policy in our country for sponsoring the attempts that may be made for developing extracurricular and curricular material using OER platform. So this leaves the teachers in a sense of indecision and vagueness which finally lead to the fact that they are not even motivated to get informed about OER even theoretically.
