With regards to the importance and function of collocation and its positive effect on four skills then finally it will express itself in a better comprehension and production. This study examines which kind of these methods (explicit and implicit) are effective in learning collocation and then led to a better writing skill. The test taken was Preliminary English test Cambridge University to choose all participants that were male and female from the same level which was intermediate in Jahrom University, Iran. They were divided into 3 groups that included explicit and implicit (N=11) as experimental group and other one as control group (N=11). A pre-test was taken from all that contained target language vocabulary so that their knowledge on collocation subject is investigated. They were taught an intermediate reading and in the end the post-test was taken so that make us realized which method for learning is useful in a way that their writing with help of collocation would be improved. The result of this study indicated that the learners’ writing skill who received explicit method are better than those who exposure implicit method.
