Interpreting enjoys paramountcy in Translation Studies especially in modern day era. The researcher endeavored to investigate the performance and elicit the strategies used by professional interpreters and apply them in training novice interpreters. In other words, the purpose of this study was to attain an in-depth view of the strategies and procedures used by interpreters and make them applicable in the training of novice interpreters. Six consecutive interpreters with at least five years of experience in Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance constituted the participants of this research, all of whom were asked to interpret two excerpts of listening and were then interviewed. After interpreting, an observation and retrospective stimulated recall together with inter-rated content analysis as the triangulated instrumentations were used in this QUAL-quant study. The study introduced the strategies and procedures which should be taught and practiced in interpreting classes. The findings of the study would be applicable in developing interpreting courses to train novice interpreters.
