In this study a multi-walled carbon nanotube/poly nicotinic acid modified GC electrode (MWCNT/Poly-NC/GCE) was used for determination of dopamine (DA) using voltammetry. The experimental parameters such as pH, concentration of nicotinic acid and MWCNTs, scan rate, pulse amplitude, ion strength were optimised. The presence of MWCNT/Poly-NC composite on the GC electrode surface improved the sensitivity and repeatability of the measurements. The electrode showed a good linear response in the the range of dopamine 1-50 µM and a detection limit of 0.1 µM at optimal conditions.
