Copper and zinc oxide nanoparticles have widespread antimicrobial effects. Furthermore, using these nanoparticles in chicken diet has antioxidant effects and may cause improvement in the growth performance therefore, the present research was carried out to survey the histopathological effects of copper and zinc oxide nanoparticles on the various internal organs such as liver, spleen, pancreas, stomach, intestine and kidney. For this reason, the nanoparticles were synthesized at the research institute (biocenter)of university of zabol. Afterwards, 200 broiler chickens were randomly divided into 4 groups (groups1: control, groups2: receiving 100 mg of copper nanoparticle, group3:receiving 100 mg of zinc oxide nanoparticle and group4:receiving 100 mg of the mixing of copper and zinc oxide nanoparticles). Distilled water and the nanoparticles were administered to the control and treatment groups, respectively by gastric gavage route for 36 days. After this period, the body mass index(BMI) of broiler chickens was 1.8 and the average of body weight was evaluated 2.55 kg. for histopathological examination, after necropsy of 12 chickens randomly on 12th,24th,and 37th days, all tissue specimens were maintained in 10% buffered formalin, embedded in paraffin, sectioned into 5µm slices and stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Finally, all slides were observed by light microscopy and the results showed that chickens in group4 had some histopathological lesions in kidney observerd.
