Objective:The health risks of heroin basedIranian crackon the different tissues has not been widely researched.we aimed to present a histopathologic feature of Iranian crack induced injuries in some important organs.Materialsand Methods: fifteenmale wistar rats (age 5-6 mounth) were included in this study and divided into two groups:daily receivingnormal saline(n=5)or Iranian rack (0.9mg/kg ; n=10) for thirty days.Theplasma and tissue levels of IL-6 and TNFawere measured by ELISA. After anesthesiadifferent organs including : brain, liver, kidney, lung and hearthad been brought out and subjected to Hematoxilin and eosin staining and subsequenthistological consideration. Resultsand conclusion: The results showed that production of IL-6 and TNFa was significantly (p 0.05) elevated in the crack receiving group versus the healthy control group.Thirty days receiving Iranian crack groupshowed markedly increase in kupffer cells in liver tissueInfiltration of mononuclear cell represented a sever inflammatory response in kidneytissue along with heroin crystals in gloumerols. Brain injury in hippocampus and periaqueductal gray matter was has been showed so much more than other zones.These findings suggest that Iranian crack induced systemic inflammationthat may be lead to irreversible organ damage in long-term usage.Generaly, crystal formation in kidney, presenting with proteinuria and renal impairment,is PH dependent thatcould be treated with electrolyte modification. These information suggested that these patient should be managed to reduce inflammation reactions and electrolytic balance upon medication care..
