Objectives: heavy metals characteristics, and theirs effect have been shown how to confront with risks. The generation of oxidative stress creates by the common mechanism their carcinogenicity and toxicity. The aim of this study was to determine whether an oral administration of nano-Zn influences histological structure in the spleen of chicken exposed to the cadmium (Cd) metal.Materials Methods: For this purpose, 30 chickens divided into three groups, group (I) was orally (gavage) given nano-Zn (0.1mg/kg) alone, group (II) was orally (gavage) given nano-Zn (0.1mg/kg) alone. Group (III) was orally (gavage) given (1 ml) saline and served as a control group. At the end of the study, chickens were sacrificed and their spleen was placed in formalin for histological studies. Then they were fixed by Tissue Processor devices, and thentissue sections were provided by microtome and stained with H E (Hematoxylin and Eosin)Results Conclusion: Structure of spleen tissue in control groups was natural. There were two main types of tissue in the spleen that are specialized for its two main functions. Spleen composed of red pulp and white pulp separated by marginal zone. But histological figures of treatment group showed some tremendous differences containing increase of number of macrophages and intense congestion of red pulp. Also in this group, sinusoids had been widened. However, these findings imply that the nano-Zn in this dosage could be a harmful material in cases of chickens.
