Objectives: Human infection usually caused by pathogenic bacteria. E. coli is the Enterobacteriaceae that most studies have been conducted on it around the world and a leading pathogen in hospital- acquired infections and community. Honey has antibacterial substances that human since ancient times benefited from antimicrobial activity of honey and are used in treating skin problems such as wounds and burns and considered one of the best dressing and that is caused by antibacterial efficacy of honey. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the antimicrobial effect of several Iranian honey on E.coli wild type strain.
