Objectives: Because of the common use of enrofloxacin in livestock industry for treatment of various diseases, In the present study, the effects of enrofloxacin on WBC of broiler chickens were investigated. Materials Methods: In order to study the effect of enrofloxacin at dose 10 mg/kg body weight in drinking water for 5 successive days at different times on WBC of broiler chicks, one hundred and sixty day-old broiler chicks were divided randomly into 4 equal group and each group divided into 4 replicated of 10 chicks each. Group1 chicks was kept as control. Group 2 and 3 chicks were medicated enrofloxacin at dose 10 mg/kg body weight in drinking water for 5 successive days at 3 to 7 days and 18-22 days respectively. Group 4 chicks were medicated two times similar to group 2 and 3. After wing vein blood collection, the white Blood Cell (WBC) count was measured. Results Conclusion: Results revealed that the WBC count decreased in Group 2 but there is not any significant difference between groups. In this study, receiving enrofloxacin at dose 10 mg/kg body weight in drinking water for 5 successive days at 3 to 7 days (group 2), decreased WBC count.
