Objectives: One of the most common tumors in most species of mouse is lymphoma, especially those that are used in safety assessment. According to studies in the field of cancer treatment, day by day the number of chemical compounds that are used to treat cancer, is added. The cost of some of these chemicals, the lack of appropriate response to these compounds, some of these neoplasms, drug resistance and side effects, including factors that need further studies to identify new drug safe (especially herbal) it requires. The histopathological, biological and epidemiological features mouse lymphoma cancer are similar with lymphoma cancers in human. Created cancers in mice can be used as a valid model for the evaluation of therapeutic agents. Lymphoma tumors in mice can be an appropriate model for studying the biology of human cancers.Materials Methods: In this study the effects of milkweed plant extract cytotoxicity was determined on the mouse lymphoma cells. This cell line was cultured from the Pasteur Institute prepared. Milkweed plant extract (Calotropisprocera) were obtained on percolation method. After culturing the cell line in 96 plate wells and cells treated with the extract concentrations (5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 µg/ml). After 48 hours, the MTT assay was performed. Results Discussion: Results were measured by ELISA reader. In the next step of MTT was drawn graph. The IC50, 49 micrograms per milliliter, respectively, Treatment of cells with the concentration and painted by Annexin-v and PI,using flow cytometry in the efficacy of the herbal compound on the induction of apoptosis, and decreased growth of cancer cells studied. The results of flow cytometry by PI Annexin v, represents the effect of the extract on cell apoptosis rate of 1/51% and cell necrosis in the 38/12% respectively. According to statistical data cell necrosis was significant compared to controls.
