Moisture diffusion is known as a factor of degradation in materials including composites. It is more essential while talking about marine structures or machines which are not only under consistent humidity, but also under various load conditions. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of humidity on the impact reaction of an important composite in marine industry; therefore, based on Fick s law and a thermal-moisture analogy, ABAQUS is employed to simulate impact on a composite beam of E-glass fiber reinforced with vinyl ester with different moisture contents. The results suggested that increasing moisture content end in higher strain and deflection and different damping behavior after collision.
