We envisage exploring the multicomponent reactions of 6-aminouracils in “green” solvents. Herein, we describe an efficient protocol for the formation of polyfunctionalized 5-hydroxybenzo[a]phenazin-6-yl)-1,3-dimethylpyrimidines adducts in AcOH by 6-aminouracils.[1] Recently, magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have received significant attention due to their diverse applications in synthesis and catalysis. In the current work, we disclosed a novel methodology for the synthesis of polyfunctionalized 5- hydroxybenzo[a]phenazin-6-yl)-1,3-dimethylpyrimidines adducts by one-pot condensation of aldehydes,2-hydroxynaphthalene-1,4-dione,o-phenilendiamin, 6- aminouracils catalyzed by core/shell nano-Fe3O4/PEG/succinic anhydride as a magnetic nanocatalyst under ultrasonic irradiation. The remarkable advantages of this methodology are easy work-up, short reaction times, recycling of the catalyst, little catalyst loading and use of ultrasonic irradiation as a valuable and powerful technology.
