Given that fresh water supplies are on the decrease and it is necessary to use renewable energies, especially solar energy, the efficiency of conventional solar water desalinations is compared with that of an improved one. In doing so, a conventional water desalination is built and its performance is evaluated. Afterward, the saline water within the water desalination approaches evaporation point in the manifold containing heat pipe condensers through rotation via a solar pump. It is then injected into the water desalination tank. An evacuated pipe is adopted to increase the absorption of solar radiations in heat pipes. The maximum rate of fresh water production in this mode reached 1.21 Lit/m2.hr. Moreover, the daily production of 2.46 Lit/m2 in the passive mode reached a daily amount of 7.21 Lit/m2 in the active mode.
