Nowadays, industrial societies have focused on renewable energies such as solar energy due to importance of energy sector and also forecasts of energy expiring. Zero energy is one of sustainable energy which establishes an interaction between energy production and consumption through renewable technologies. In recent years, construction industry comply with environmental approach has developed towards the use of renewable energy and traditional architecture to reduce fossil fuels dependency. Zero energy issue is considered as one of new fields of alternative energies in the world. The issue has attracted attention as a new approach in sustainable architecture and design of residential buildings compatible with the climate in different parts of the world but few researchers have focused on this issue in Iran. In this study, it is evaluated zero energy issue and climatic architecture. In this paper is investigated Tabriz climate. Then, the information related to zero energy based buildings, climatic buildings and constructed instances is evaluated to present useful solar energy solutions in design of climatic buildings and to progress the goals of zero energy buildings.
