Stabilization of Cancer Dynamics: An Optimal Control Approach

This paper presents an optimal control strategy for stabilizing the nonlinear system of tumor growth. The stability analysis of the biologically feasible steady states is studied using a local stability approach. The necessary optimal control inputs for the asymptotic stability are obtained using a proposed Lyapunov function of system densities. Analysis and numerical results are presented for different parameter values and initial densities.
