In this paper we study the monotonicity of the ratio of two hyperelliptic Abelian integrals
I0(h) = HΓh ydx and I1(h) = HΓh xydx for which Γh is a continuous family of ovals of some
symmetric Hamiltonian system of the form H±(x; y) = y2 ∓ P(x), where
