گردشگري يكي از اركان اصلي توسعه پايدار است. توريسم اشكال مختلفي دارد كه اكنون شكلي نوين از توريسم با عنوان توريسم روستايي، باهدف توسعه پايدار جوامع محلي در نواحي روستايي، به‌عنوان ابزاري جهت توسعه اقتصادي و اجتماعي و يكي از مهم‌ترين مشاغل مدرن در مناطق روستايي تجسم‌يافته است كه با تأثيرگذاري در سه بعد پايداري اقتصادي، اجتماعي و محيطي ضمن جلب مشاركت جامعه محلي در توسعه اقتصاد ملي با پتانسيل حفظ و حمايت از منابع طبيعي و محيط‌زيست باعث پايداري محيطي مي‌شود. در بعد اقتصادي، گامي جهت كاهش فقر با توسعه مراكز اشتغال كوچك، در بعد اجتماعي نيز باعث كارآفريني و جلوگيري از مهاجرت، ارتباطات بيشتر با ساير جوامع و فرهنگ‌هاي متنوع و شناساندن هويت محلي و رفاه و نهايتاً ايجاد توسعه پايدار روستايي مي‌گردد. در اين مقاله نيز با توجه به اهميت موضوع ، سعي شده است كه ضمن تعريف مفاهيم توريسم روستايي نقش توريسم و بوم گردي روستايي به‌عنوان يكي از راهكارهاي تنوع‌بخشي به اقتصاد و پايداري محيط‌زيست و رسيدن به توسعه پايدار روستايي و اشتغال پايدار پرداخته شود.اين مقاله از طريق مطالعه اسناد و منابع كتابخانه¬اي گرفته است .

Tourism is one of the main pillars of sustainable development. Tourism has various forms that is now embodied in a new form of tourism called rural tourism with the goal of sustainable development of local communities in rural areas as a tool for economic and social development and one of the most important modern businesses in rural areas, Economic, social and environmental sustainability, while attracting local community participation in national economic development with the potential of preserving and protecting natural and environmental resources, will result in environmental sustainability. In the economic dimension, a step towards poverty reduction through the development of small employment centers, in the social dimension, also leads to entrepreneurship and the prevention of immigration, greater communication with other communities and cultures, and the identification of local identity and prosperity and, ultimately, sustainable rural development. In this article, considering the importance of the subject, it has been tried to define the role of tourism and rural tourism as one of the solutions for the diversification of the economy and the sustainability of the environment and the achievement of sustainable rural development and sustainable development, while defining the concepts of rural tourism.
