In this paper, we present an explicit exact finite difference scheme for the Huxley equation, based on the solitary wave solutions. Moreover for the numerical solution of Huxley equation, a nonstandard finite difference (NSFD) scheme is constructed. In continuation, positivity and boundedness for proposed NSFD scheme are established. Numerical results are given to demonstrate the computational efficiency of NSFD scheme
