In this paper, we consider the maximal graph (Γ(R))^c of a commutative ring with identity R. (Γ(R))^c is the graph whose vertices are elements of R, where two distinct vertices a and b are adjacent if and only if $Ra + Rb \neq R$ or there exists a maximal ideal of R containing both. We study some properties of two (induced) subgraphs (Γ_2(R))^c and (G(R))^c of (Γ(R))^c
