Singh (2015)considered the estimation of stress strength reliability parameter of inverted exponential distribution. They obtained the Bayes estimator based on squared error loss and and linex loss function and the maximum likelihood estimator of the reliability R. In this paper we interested to obtain interval estimation of the reliability parameter in a stress–strength model involving inverted exponential distribution base on them work. We use two confidence interval procedures based on the Generalized Variable and Percentile bootstrap confidence interval methods. We compare these interval estimation procedures in terms of Coverage Probability and Expected Length. Simulation studies show that the GV method is satisfactory for practical applications even for small sample setting to construct confidence interval for parameter R.
