Color and Elixir in Mohammad Ibn Zakareya Raz s Alchemy

رنگ و تغيير آن چه در صورت و چه در ماهيّت اجسام، يكي از مفاهيم بنيادين طبيعيات و كيمياست. محمد بن زكريا نيز به ‌مثابه طبيعي‌دان و سرسلسلة مكتبي در كيمياي دوران اسلامي معروف است و ديدگاه نظري و عملي او در اين خصوص، اهميت دارد. هدف اين جستار و ارائة مبتني بر آن، شناختن تلقّي رازي از «صبغ» و «اكسير» و بررسي باورمندي وي به واقعيت اين مفاهيم، يا رويكرد ابزاري و كاركردي اين دانشور سدة چهارم هجري است. يافته‌هاي پژوهش تصويري مستند و تا حدي متفاوت، به روايتي دست اول ارائه مي‌كند و به‌موجب جايگاه رازي و ارزشمندي مفهومي موضوع، همچنين گستره و دقت استنادي، مي‌تواند از اصالت و اعتبار برخوردار گردد.

The color and change either in appearance and in nature are one of the fundamental concepts of alchemist. Mohammed Ibn Zakareya is also known as a naturalist and the pioneer in the alchemist school in the Islamic era, in this sense, his theoretical view and his point of view are important. The purpose of this essay and the presentation based on it, is the recognition of Razi s perception of and the examination of his belief in the reality of these concepts, or the instrumental and functional approach of this scientist of the fourth century is the elixir of Hijri. The research, in terms of purpose, is of a fundamental nature and in terms of the type of data and the nature and method is based on available qualitative data for descriptive and analytical recognition of past realities, the historical and linguistic interest, the historical criticism. It is a descriptive explanation that focuses on collecting data and information from techniques and practices emphasized on using the valid credentials in earlier and later sources, text research, and categorization and compilation. The findings are documented and, to a lesser extent, presented to the first-hand narrative, and they can be of authenticity due to the mystical and conceptual value of the subject, as well as the
