This study tries to offer an applied approach by creating a mental framework to relate the project management to business objectives and convert the projects to tools in order to access the competitive advantage. In this regard, the objective is to determine the effect of business competitive strategy from the viewpoint of Porter (differentiation, concentration and price management) in two domains out of nine domains of project management knowledge (integration management, quality management) and performance of project at Iran Melli Bank in e-banking section. The results show that except the differentiation strategy, which doesn’t have any significant relation with integration management, there is a significant relation between the other competitive strategies of Porter and project management
