انتخاب شهرداران در ايران از روز نخست تجربه دموكراسي تاكنون دستخوش تغييرات بسياري گشته كه قوانين متعددي نيز در اين بين تصويب و معيارهاي مشخصي براي انتخاب شهرداران تعيين شده است. در اين تحقيق سعي شده تا صرف نظر از مسائل حاشيه اي، صرفاً با استفاده از موارد مندرج در قانون و همچنين با اخذ نظر متخصصين و صاحب نظران در حوزه مديريت شهري و شوراها، آيتمها و معيارهاي لازم و مفيد براي انتخاب شهردار مناسب از بين گزينه هاي متعدد موجود را مشخص نموده و براساس اولويت بندي و امتيازدهي به افراد و گزينه هاي مختلف از طريق روش AHP گزينه اصلح را انتخاب نمود.

The election of mayors in Iran since the first day of democracy has undergone many changes so far that several laws have been passed between them and certain criteria for the selection of mayors have been set. In this research, it has been tried to consider the items and criteria necessary to select the appropriate mayor, with the exception of the marginal issues, by using the provisions in the law, as well as by obtaining the opinion of experts and authorities in the field of urban management and councils. Identify the various options available and choose the best option based on the ranking and scoring for different people and options using the AHP method.
