An experimental investigation which has discussed the behavior of RC arch structures strengthened using Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) composites is presented. For this purpose, six specimens were casted and loaded up to failure in order to reveal the effect of number and arrangement of FRP layers on overall behavior of RC arches. It is found that intrados bonding is more efficient than extrados bonding from several points of views, including peak load, Toughness and stiffness. Furthermore, with increasing the number of FRP layers, the peak load of the arches and their stiffness increase, but their toughness (energy absorption) slightly decreases.
