Jundishapur: Historical Geography

مبحث جغرافياي تاريخي يكي از راه‌هاي بسيار مؤثر جهت شناخت قدمت و پيشينه‌ي تاريخي شهرهاست؛ و در پي آن است كه نقش و تأثير جغرافيا را بر سرنوشت سياسي، انساني، فرهنگي و اقتصادي آن‌ها نمايان سازد. جندي‌شاپور يكي از شهرهاي باستاني ايران است كه داراي سابقه‌ي فرهنگي و تمدني درخشاني بود. جندي‌شاپور در دوره‌ي شاپور اول(حكـ 241-272 م) تأسيس شد و در دوره‌ي انوشيروان( حكـ 531-579 م) به اوج اعتلاي خود رسيد. در دوره‌ي اسلامي جندي‌شاپور در زمينه‌ي علوم مختلف، به ‎ويژه پزشكي، خدمات ارزنده­اي به جهان اسلام ارائه داد اما به تدريج از صفحه‌ي روزگار محو شد. در اين مقاله كوشش شده تا حد امكان و با استفاده از منابع به بررسي پيشينه‌ي اين شهر پرداخته­ و به اين سؤال پاسخ داده شود كه جغرافيا چه نقشي در پيدايش و افول شهر جندي‌شاپور داشته است؟ از اين‌رو، پژوهش حاضر درصدد است با روش توصيفي – تحليلي و بر مبناي مطالعات كتابخانه­اي به بررسي جغرافياي تاريخي شهر باستاني جندي‌شاپور بپردازد.

One of the most effective ways to identify historical background and dating back to cities is issues of historical geography. And it want to reveal role and impact of geography on the fate of political، human، cultural and economic them. Jundishapur is one of the ancient cities of Iran that has the cultural background and brilliant civilization. Jundishapur was established at the time of Shapur I (241-272 AD) And reached its peak height in the Anushiravan (531-579 AD). In the Islamic era، Jundishapur provided valuable services in various science، particularly medicine، to the Muslim world But، gradually wiped out. Therefore، in this article we have tried as much as possible and using of resources، investigate the background of the city. And Answer to the question of what was the role of geography in the rise and decline of the Jundishapur city? Thus، the present study aims with descriptive – analytical method and based on library studies investigate the historical geography of the ancient city Jundishapur.
