Studying the Relationship between Postpartum Depression and General Health in Women

Objective: The present study was done with the objective of the relationship between postpartum depression and general health in women. Method: For this purpose 30 women with postpartum depression were selected through available sampling. Data was collected by General Health Questionnaire (GHQ). The design of study was in form of correlation. For analyzing data, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression were used. Results: The results of data analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between postpartum depression and General Health in Women. (P <0.001, r = -0.584). Conclusion: The findings showed that there is a significant relationship between postpartum depression and general health in women.
