Environmental Electrochemistry

Different industries in the world develop every day. However, these developments induce better and easier life; they are main suspected pollution increasing in the world. Air, water and soil are polluted by waste materials and these contaminants are comminatory for human lives. Most of these hazardous materials can be changed to less pollutant or no contaminant substances by use of electrochemical methods. On the other hands electrochemical process has been known as green process. In this theoretical research, the electrochemical methods that have been used for wastewater treatment, remediation of soil and recovery of catalysts, will be introduced. Besides them, the ability of electrochemical sensors to detect and determination of pollutant has been discussed.
