Solid materials distributed on the surface of watershed transform to debris flow under hydro-dynamical effect is one of the most common disaster patten in the mountain area, especially post 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake, the high frequency of debris flow events take a big menace to local people’s safety of life and properties directly, as well as the reconstruction work etc. Currently, more theory and experiment research are concentrated on solid materials instability mechanism, debris flow initiation, movement process of slope-gully system, but fewer research are focused on the moveable critical condition of solid materials under hydrodynamic condition as seepage flow and thinner surface flow. Thus, based on the debris flow formation condition, we cleared the hydro-dynamic effect, the research on the mechanics of debris flow process and the discharge of soil in debris flow areas respectively; then take a fore work of the movable solid materials under hydro-dynamic condition in the debris flow source area, which concluded whether move or not of the solid materials and how large cubic meters solid materials is to form debris flow is the mechanical problem, rather than the traditional definition.
