After identification of dust sources in Khuzestan province (Heydarian et al., 2015), sampling was carried out to identify the sedimentology, sedimentary geochemistry and heavy metal anomaly. The Dust sourcesin Khuzestan with internal origin have an area of about 345000 ha and theyhave been identified in the form of seven districts (southwest of Howezeh, north of Khorramshahr, east of Ahvaz, south and southeast of Ahvaz, Bandar-e EmamKhomeyni, Omidieh, Mahshahr-Hendijan and north of Hendijan). In most of these areas, the decline in surface moisture and soil salinity as a result of groundwater penetration is seen well. In this study sedimentary, deposits were seperated on the basis of sedimentology and sedimentary environments consist of wind deposits, alluvial fan deposits, river deposits (bed sediments, fluvial terrace and flood plain) alluvial plain, delta deposits and sabkha. In terms of grain size, these deposits include sandy gravel deposits, sandy and muddy gravel, muddy sand, sandy clay and clay. Among the sedimentary deposits of the study area, the maximum potential of the dust production is belong to clay and sandy clay alluvial plains, continental sabkhas and windy sabkhas. In Figure 2 different regions of origin were clustered in view of anomalies of the studied elements. The regions are located in different clusters in terms of changes in the elements. The regions of east of Ahvaz and south and southeast of Ahvaz are located in a cluster due to the conditions of the same sedimentary environment and the proximity of the regions to each other. The northern part of Khorramshahr, Mahshahr-Hendijan, north of Hendijan, and Emam Bandar- Omidieh are located in a cluster and southwest of Hoveizeh is located in different cluster. It appears to these deposits have different elemental composition under the influence of sedimentary environment and transmitted sediments from other regions
