Inquiry based learning is an active learning exploring approach that has many benefits on meaning full education. It focuses on questioning, critical thinking and problem solving. In this approach students build their knowledge through trial and error by doing experiments. Water purification plays a key role in ensuring access to safe drinking water. It has some science concepts such as distillation, soil permeability, filtration, decantation and different separation methods that can be taught in elementary level. I here report a meaningful learning method of soil permeability, distillation and decantation. In this method, students will receive a glass of dirty water and different materials and asked to prepare a glass of clean water.
