The rare earth elements (REEs) have become crucial for modern industry, technology and medicine, with the increase in demand for these elements over the past few years currently being met by relatively few well-known mineral deposits. We collected around 100 samples analyses from the northern Sanandaj Sirjan zone granite which have measured by many researchers in this few years to study the behavior and abundances of LREEs and HREEs in the granitic rocks in this area. Based on the REE analyses of the samples from the granitiod rocks different types of granitic rocks were occurred in the northern Sanandaj-Sirjan zone. Outcrops of I A-type granites have been reported from some localities such as Hassan salaran and I- type M-type and H-type granites have been studied in many parts of Sanandaj- Sirjan zone such as Ebrahim attar, Panje, Ghorveh, Kangareh, Ghalaylan and Mobarak Abad. In This research we compared the abundances of the REEs to Upper Crust continental composition (Taylor and Mclenan, 1995). Our data clarify some alkali granitic rocks in some area such as Hasansalaran in the south of Saquez and Mobarak abad in the south of Dehgolan are too rich from the LREEs and can be considered as a potential for REEs deposits in future in the northwest Iran. The total concentration of the REEs in some samples is higher than 500 ppm and in some samples up to 1000 ppm.
