Implication basic algebras were introduced as a com-
mon generalization of orthomodular lattices and MV-algebras, by
J.C. Abbot. In this paper, we introduce the concepts of weak
lters and weak congruence relations on implication basic alge-
bras and we give an internal characterization of weak congruence
kernel.
