چكيده فارسي :
Aluminium as an alloying element has a great effect on different alloys such magnesium ones. However, the mechanical properties of these alloys are not appreciable. Parallel Tubular Channel Angular Pressing (PTCAP) is a recently developed novel intense plastic deformation method appropriate for fabrication of ultrafine-grained and nano-structured cylindrical tubes. In this study, this technique was applied to AZ31 and AZ61 alloys for one pass at 350 °C. and the effects on the grain size and mechanical properties were studied. This results showed that the 1- passes PTCAPed AZ61 specimen exhibits the best elongation of about 23 %. Furthermore, the maximum tensile strength is found for 1-pass PTCAPed AZ61. In addition, the best refinement is found to occur at the 1-pass PTCAPed AZ31 specimen.
