Comparison of Sociocultural and Environmental Influence of Traditional Gardens as Successful Public Spaces in Three case of West, Middle East and East

Gardens from past till now operated as an applicable example to increase the public urban spaces quality and have a large impact on environmental condition as well as sociocultural situation in all around the world. Due to importance of the public urban spaces quality and its direct relationship to people life which divided into sociocultural and environmental part, this research aim to investigate on sociocultural and environmental influence of traditional gardens as successful public spaces on people life quality. Accordingly Villa Lante as Italian Renaissance garden in West, Fin garden as traditional Iranian garden in Middle East and Lingering garden (LiuYuan) as classical Chinese private garden in East with different location, people, culture and environment have been chosen to evaluate, analyze and compare their characteristic (i.e. historical background, architectural style, configuration, construction, orientation, spatial organization and elements specially water and vegetation) to each other in case of their sociocultural and environmental impact. Traditional gardens as successful public spaces not only have visual aesthetic in cities, but also by their special characteristic can provide the high level of human life quality and attitude. Besides, with environmental, social and economic beneficial could represent as irremovable feature of cities which need to preserve, restore and recreate in future due to environmental crisis that happen.
