Regarding the remarkable technological advancement in the last decade, in order to avoid disturbances and the accumulation of information among citizens, the need for tools to categorize Big Data as a major factor in today s smart cities is inevitable. This can play a key role in simplifying the understanding of information and data by citizens and in order to maximize the quality of the future public spaces. In smart cities, technological systems are defined as the main pillar of the city, whose purpose is to establish a link between the three other systems, the social, economic, and political system. With this in mind, this research aims to investigate the link between the technological system of cities as a data layer and the nature of future urban spaces. In order to achieve this goal, three social, economic, and political systems will be considered as a link between the two variables of the research and how this relationship is investigated using the inference method. In addition, the cities of Barcelona and Vienna and Singapore have also been examined from the point of view of smart public spaces by the documents contained therein. The results showed that the factor of participation serves as the key concept of linking infrastructure with urban space in a well-developed social system. Nevertheless, the qualitative analysis of documents showed that there is still no clear definition and clear concepts regarding the relationship between the two economic and political systems by the technological system in the smart city.
