A tunable terahertz absorber using free standing graphene metamaterial sheet is proposed and simulated.
The absorber is made of electric LC resonators periodically placed in free space. It is shown that absorption of
50% is achieved in one or two frequency bands, depending on the polarization of the incident wave. The
structure s performance with varying graphene s chemical potential is investigated. It is shown that with varying
chemical potential, frequency of absorption is changed and a tunable absorber is resulted.
