Thin films of glassy semiconductors with the composition of 40P2O5 – 10MnO2 – (50-x)LiO2 – xNa2O ،0 X 50 were prepared through the melt blowing technique. UV spectra has been recorded for each sample in the wavelength range of 190-900nm and Optical absorbance coefficient was investigated by studying the ultra violet spectra of the samples.Based on absorption and reflection spectra, refractive index , dielectric coefficients, molar refractivity and electronic polarizability were calculated. From the density values of samples, the molar volume , the Ion concentration and Oxygen packing density of samples was evaluated. refractive index, dielectric coefficient, molar refractivity and electronic polarizability confirmed mixed alkali effect by changing alkali ions concentration in glassy system
