In this study TiO2 coatings were synthesized via dip-coating of glass plates in a sol of TiO2 and calcined at
400, 500, 600 and 700 °C. The effect of calcination temperature on TiO2 caotings were studied by FESEM,
XRD, atomic absorption and sonication weight loss. The 500 °C calcined coating showed uniform crack free
morphology of nanatase TiO2 nanoparticles. This coating indicated a good stability agaist leaching and
weight loss as well. Using this coating 87.6% of initila methylene blue was photodegradaded after 390 min of
UV irradiation while other studied coatins barely removed 30% of methylene blue
