Introduction: The Coronary heart diseases which have correlation with the increased levels of VLDL-c and LDL-c and is inversely correlated with the decrease of HDL-c, are the main cause of death in most countries. The ABC-A1 gene is the first and the most obvious member of the ABC transmitters family, with HDL-c via reverse cholesterol transportation is effective in preventing atherosclerosis. considering the important role of ABC-A1 protein as a membrane transporter that leads to the transformation of Phospholipids from cellular membrane into Apolipoprotein A-I and its key role in the creation of HDL-c and reverse cholesterol transportation, the ABC-A1 protein was investigated in the present study. This study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effect of eight-week aerobic training and consumption of green coffee on the ABC-A1 gene expression and the serum levels of HDL-c in overweight women.
Results: Considering paired-sample T_test in both groups “aerobic exercise- green coffee”(P=0.001 ,t=4.87) and “aerobic exercise- placebo”(P=0.012 ,t=3.36), the variable of ABC-A1 showed the significant increase in the ABC-A1 gene expression lymphocytes and in the HDL-c variable “aerobic exercise- green coffee”(P0.000 ,t=6.48) and “aerobic exercise- placebo”(P=0.008 ‘t=3.25) showed a significant increase in the serum levels of HDL-c of both groups. In addition, the results from the independent T-test in the ABC-A1 variable (P=0.000 ,t=6.48) and HDL-c variable (P=0.003 ,t=3.34) showed that the changes in the “aerobic exercise- green coffee” was considerably more than the “aerobic exercise- placebo” group.
Conclusion: The researches showed that physical activity influences the expression of mRNA regulating PPAR gene and this gene also causes creation of regulative feature of fatty acids by PPARs also it is specified that the activity of Ligand PPAR leads to primary activation of LXR and finally LXR makes the positive adjustment and increase in the regulation of transferor gene of ABC-A1 .In addition, the changes in plasma and tissue density of adiponectin and regulating it sought of physical exercises, are known as the other influential factors regulating ABC-A1 protein. Overall, the results showed that the eight-week aerobic training with green coffee consumption causes increase in the regulation of ABC-A1 gene and the serum levels of HDL-c and the executed exercise protocol with green coffee consumption can be considered as a strategic and non-pharmacological method to increase the ABC-A1 gene expression and the serum levels of HDL-c and finally improving cardiovascular function and prevention of atherosclerosis.
