چكيده فارسي :
This trial was conducted to determine the effects of feeding a diet containing solid-state fermented cottonseed meal on serum biochemical parameters of broiler chickens. After inoculated with Bacillus subtilis, Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus oryzae for 7 day, the content of free gossypol in cottonseed meal was decreased from 584.33 to 68 mg/kg. A total of 300 1-day-old male broilers were randomly divided into five treatments with five replicates of 12 chicks each. First group was fed with a corn-based diet (without cottonseed meal) as control, while the chicks of groups 2, 3, 4 and 5 were fed with diets containing 10 or 20 percent raw or fermented cottonseed meal, respectively. Total cholesterol, triglyceride and Very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) were measured at day 35. The results of this experiment indicated that, there were significant effect of between treatment groups on serum cholesterol, triglyceride, VLDL and LDL-cholesterol (p<0.05), but no significant effect on serum HDL cholesterol in broiler chickens. The serum concentration of triglyceride, cholesterol, VLDL and LDL in birds under fermented cottonseed meal significantly was lower compared to other experimental treatments (p<0.05). According to the present study, use of fermented cottonseed meal compared with raw cottonseed meal improve health of broilers
