Dual mode sorption model is the most commonly used model. It has been used throughout of this work since it is a complementary transport model that can be used to describe sorption through membranes. The effect of polyimide crosslinking by Ethylene Glycol and Butylene Glycol on CO2 and CH4 sorption can be interpreted by analyzing the dual mode parameters. Polyimide membranes derived from 6FDA-DAM:DABA 2:1 and 6FDA-6FpDA:DABA 2:1 copolymers have been used to separate 50/50, CO2/CH4 natural gas mixtures at 35oC and feed pressures up to 50 atm. The polymers are annealed at 220oC. At last by analyzing the amount of thermodynamic and kinetic coupling, we check the accuracy of the results of sorption graphs.
