This article is surveyed on methodological basis as Shannon information entropy and information
principle of the maximum entropy (Jaynes formalism), where it is used at the problem decision in
which nescience of the process mechanism details can be reduced to uncertainty of statistical type.
In this article the application of informational entropy in separation systems theory is surveyed.
For this purpose the multicomponent mixtures flash evaporation process has been taken into
consideration as an example and modelled on the basis of Shannon entropy and Jaynes formalism
and in the result received calculation method of the given process. As known in literatures, the
method of flash evaporation calculation is based on semiempirical concepts. From results of this
article its concluded that with using informational entropy for flash evaporation process
modeling, the resulted calculating method of this process will be completely theoretical basis.
